Cheap Traveller's Trick

A few months ago, we visited Hawaii. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

And this morning, I took another trip there. This one was much cheaper, but also very enjoyable. I took it while eating breakfast before going to work!

It was easy. I just spread some of my Kukui Passion Fruit Jelly that we bought while in Hawaii on toast, then bit in and enjoyed the taste and smell. I let that remind me of our trip there, and the wonderful smells and sounds. Aloha!

We do this fairly often. While we are visiting, we try to visit the local grocery stores and pick up some local jellies since I usually have jelly on toast in the morning for breakfast. Then after getting back, from time to time, I take a quick trip back just like this morning.

Maybe it is just my imagination, but I could swear that I heard some surf this morning :-)

You should be able to find actual surf nearer than Hawaii.

Sure, there's surf here. But it doesn't have the same memories as that in Hawaii. Pineapple princess at the Dole plantation, the fun of the Polynesian Cultural Center, walking around Waikiki looking at the people.
