One of the ads on TV this evening caught my attention. One of our local hair restoration services, in a new main part, focused on how natural their process is. All we do is move some of your very own hair follicles from other parts of your head to the places you are losing hair. Very natural.

And then they ran their standard end-of-commercial bit about who they are, telephone number to call, and so forth. Except they seem to have forgotten that the video background for this is an attractive young woman tugging on a tuft of very long hair coming out of the middle of her forehead and smiling. Very natural . . . NOT!

I don't suppose she was going for the very stylish unicorn look?

They've been around for a while. As I remember, this one started when they were emphasizing that their process was strong, that you wouldn't lose the hair in the shower or anything. So they had this model with a round patch of hair attached to her forehead happily tugging at it, and it not coming loose. Which argues that they may have changed their process, since I can't really imagine a model agreeing to have her hair transplanted there.

Oh, and it's a bit off-center. Above an eyebrow, but well below the hairline. Just this round patch of hair.
