Golden Week!

The news this morning was concerned with telling us about various exhibitions and other delights that we might want to visit next week. And people seem to be busily trying to tie up loose ends before we start Golden Week!
Basically, 4/29 and 5/3, 4, and 5 are holidays. This year, that means next week is mostly a national holiday, and almost everyone just takes the other days as vacation. So Japan is shutting down next week, with everyone off for Golden Week.
But the skid has already started, with people racing to finish things up this week while busily talking about what they are going to do next week.
Where did the work-until-we-drop Japanese salariman go? This week he's turning into Golden Week man, hanging loose with the best of them.
