Hum. One thing that might be a problem is munchies and liquids, since Japanese stores have them, but the prices are somewhat higher and the sizes smaller than Americans would expect. But maybe . . .
There's a CostCo in Yokohoma - 2-6 Sachiura, Kanazawa-ku,, Yokohama 236-0003, Japan. I haven't been there, but the one in Osaka has a pretty good selection of large size stuff. Bag of Mi Ranchito Blue Corn Chips, 20 oz. for something like 500 yen? Or a case of soda cans for 500 to 1000 yen, depending on which flavor.
But trucking it around is a pain, so how about the Flying Pig at http://www.theflyingpig.com/tfp/Shop.ASP - they will pick up things at CostCo and ship them in Japan. I've used them before, and that might be a good alternative.
I should think about this more, but that might help.
