The Trouble With Tribbles
Dec. 17th, 2007 10:31 amJust some scattered notes from the old Star Trek show. This is the one where they go to Space Station K7 on a priority one call (a threat to the Federation) and find the Klingons and quadrotriticale for Sherman's planet. Kirk seems to have developed a stutter -- or at least he repeats himself frequently on this show.
McCoy: do you know what you get when you feed a tribble?
Kirk: A fat tribble?
Spock: I fail to see why humans are attracted?
McCoy: well, they are soft and they make a nice sound
Spock: so would an ermine violin.
Kirk: Who put the tribbles in the quadrotriticale? (should be made into a round?)
And of course, the climax, where they push Scotty to explain what he did with the tribbles, and he admits that he beamed them into the Klingon's engine room, "where they'll be no tribble at all." A feghoot!
Fun.
