The strip de jour over at Dilbert http://www.dilbert.com/ . . . it's the pointy haired boss addressing a meeting, saying that these are the company priorities for the year. Any questions? And the guy who has been a zombie recently (wasn't he the intern?) says, "Should I be concerned that none of my projects relate to any of those priorities?"

Which is where I crack up. I mean belly-laughing, tears-rolling down my cheeks, GOOD laughter.

There's another frame, where the under-achiever says that he's overthinking again, and our local zombie apologizes. But while the notion of thinking being something to apologize for is amusing, it's the naive question about projects non sequitur that leaves me rolling in the aisles.

I think I've been that poor schmuck working away on projects that somehow aren't listed in the company priorities but actually keep the services running and work going forward just a few too many times.

Here's the permanent link, I think. http://www.dilbert.com/comics/dilbert/archive/dilbert-20080109.html
