Where does the time fly?
Jul. 7th, 2006 09:26 amEek! A month or more, and I haven't scrawled here recently.
Let's see. One of the little things I was noticing the other day here in Japan is that we have kabutomushi and similar bugs. These are large beetles that the kids are collecting, trading, and playing with. Buy them in most any supermarket or store.
I was just thinking about the response of most American parents to their kid having a big beetle on his hand. But here it is part of growing up, and almost everyone takes time to admire and play with them.
I think it changes the attitude toward insects a bit?
Something to think about.
