Drat. Reading along, and stumbled over "a moose". Then got to thinking about the plural, and strained for a moment or two before realizing that it is "moose." One moose, many moose, all de same.

But there's a tickle in the back of the brain that insists that one mouse is many mice, so one moose should be many meese. Now where did I learn that?

Probably goes along with foot and feet, too.

English is so much fun.

Here's a nice little article about a pc business that's doing well, targeting a niche market.

And down in it somewhere, there's a quote from an industry analyst about the necessity to grow their business, and that they have to commodotize, yadda-yadda.

Question I've got is that assumed imperative to grow - suppose they are happy with the income they have, and want to just maintain that level? Isn't that a possibility? Why do businesses have to engorge themselves until they burst?

Odd requirement, there. Although I suppose an industry analyst must know what's best, right?

Or at least what everyone assumes is best.
