The Moths ate it
Oct. 9th, 2007 11:32 amFoo. This weekend was sad. I wanted to have one of my special treats - cornbread pancakes - and opened one of the boxes of Jiffy Cornbread that I had tucked away. But it had moth larva in it. Going through the four boxes we had saved - all wiggled. So that's gone.
This has been a rough year for my little treats. Earlier in the summer, my wife went through the closet where we store foods, and tossed stuff because the moths had gotten into it. My packages of Nestle's Abuelita (Mexican Hot Chocoloate) went, which wasn't too surprising because the wrapping was just loose paper. Then a while later, I checked the packages of Ibarra, another brand of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Despite being in what appeared to be sealed plastic wraps, the moths had gotten into that, too.
And now we find that my cornbread also was infested.
Oh, well, I guess I didn't really need those treats anyway.
