Now that's weird
Jul. 20th, 2007 03:21 pmOne of my playthings is web radio - country music. But I have been listening to a station out of New Mexico, mostly. Today, for some reason, it isn't connecting, so I picked up one of the other stations. And the announcer was talking on the phone with someone. Something about his word choice caught my ear, and I listened to the rhythm of his speech. Then I asked myself what the heck a Canadian was doing in New Mexico - until I checked the web site and realized I was listening to a station out of Edmonton.
They both have nice ways of speaking, that curl well in the ear, but they are different. And when you expect one and hear the other, well, it's a surprise.
