Ge-ge-ge no nyobou 4/26

aka a thief in the marketplace?

[I'm way behind, so these may be a bit sketchy.]

This episode began with Fumie's eye peeking through the workroom doors. Then she slid them open and quietly peeked over Shigeru's shoulder. She saw a one-eyed monster, and jumped. As she stepped back toward the door, Shigeru turned and looked at her. "What do you want?"
( A purse-snatcher! )

Meanwhile, Fumie was talking to Grandma's picture. "Well, my husband is working." She started to fold a paper crane. There was a flashback to Shigeru saying "I lost a week." She said, "What about our marriage?" Then she starts singing There's no place like home. The voice over told us she was feeling lonely. But Fumie said, "No, cheer up. You can do this." She finished the paper crane and set it beside the picture.

aka Did you really expect this?

This episode started with a short flashback to Shigeru and Fumie talking about the attempted purse-snatching, and Fumie wondering who that woman was who helped her (I think -- my notes aren't clear!)
( Sometimes relatives aren't so helpful... )

The next day, Fumie found Komichi, a rental bookstore at the shopping area. She went inside and found an old woman napping at the counter, and kids sitting at a table looking at manga. She started looking over the racks, and found Shigeru's books. Just then, the woman who stopped the thief walked in. She laughed at the old woman and said, "Are you sleeping, mother?" Then she said, "Come on in" and the thief walked in carrying bundles. She saw Fumie and said, "Oh, it's you." The thief saw her and started to leave again. The woman called him, "Come back here." Then she invited Fumie into the living area behind the store to visit.

aka New friends?

This episode started with the man who tried to steal Fumie's purse being introduced as a helper at the bookstore by the woman who stopped him (who turned out to be the book store owner). She explained that he tried to run off with her bundle, but it was full of books. Very heavy! So he couldn't run very fast, and she caught him. Fumie asked, "But why is he here?" And she said, "Well..."
( Hungry people do stupid things? )

Fumie looked at him, and the voice over said, "We're just married! What is he thinking?"
