Shuhei was laying on his bed. Kinuyo, Fumie, Yoshiko, and Shigeru stood beside it. They shook his shoulder and called to him, but he didn't respond. Shigeru said, "Wait a minute." He ran out of the room and came back moments later, carrying a large strange statue from his collection. Fumie said, "What's that for?" He said, "It's supposed to heal people. We'll try it!" He held it out toward Shuhei and shook it. The three women looked over his shoulder. Shigeru said, "Strong stomach, come back!"

Four young men, with hair piled in curled splendor on their heads and school uniforms carefully unbuttoned, walked side-by-side. Their slow stroll blocked anyone from passing. Kinuyo stomped up behind them, then barked, "GET OUT OF MY WAY!!" The young men glanced back, then separated. Kinuyo stomped past them.
