This episode started with the strange fan holding up a book and announcing "I've read all your books! You're great!" Shigeru said, "Who are you?" He introduced himself, and said he was a fan. Then he dashed around the table, grabbed Shigeru's empty sleeve, and shook it. When he realized there was no arm inside the sleeve, he dropped it, apologized, and Shigeru shook hands with him.

Fumie walked up the stairs and into the corridor outside the publisher's office. It's run-down. She looked at the door, and said, "That's it." She opened it, and stuck her head in. A man in a dirty shirt was arguing with the publisher, pushing him into the couch.
